last ride home
he moved into a little space that had been taken up by an old lady. she had gotten off at the last stop and he was glad. it sucked having to push is way around on the train. the hassle of just trying to get home. he closed his eyes and tried to focus on not stepping on anyone's feet. 'okay what is today? tuesday. that means i have to do my laundry.' he thought. its not so bad. he likes having clean clothes. he remembered that his friend danny was going to visit him this week. he ran some ideas through his head of some places he could take him. of course since he lived in new york city danny would want to meet some girls and try to hook up with them. he tried to explain that finding a girl was not that easy. there are more women in the city but you wouldn't know it. its so hard to find a mate. he heard the doors close to the train and he opened his eyes to see that he had more room to stretch out in. he leaned against the doors and tried to stare pass this young female out the window. she stared back. it took him a little while to notice. his eyes adjusted and he could see she had a smirk on her face. he wondered why but just looked away. she laughed under her breath and he looked back in her direction but not at her. she was pretty. she acted like she knew it too. people probably always stare at her and she has no issues with it. this was not the kind of girl he was interested in. someone who acted like she takes advantage of her beauty and manipulates people with it to get what she wants. he realized this was not fair to say about her and he looked back at her to try to read her body language again. she was engrossed in the music on her ipod and as he watched her she licked her lips. unconscious? maybe but he didn't care. she really didn't do anything for him. she actually repulsed him. he just didn't like the way she carried her self. finally it was his stop. he got off the train and started thinking about how he judged a person without actually getting to know them. 'is this what keeps me from having a good relationship?' he wondered. he realized that he was critical with women. he decided to work on it. he stood at the corner waiting for the light to change when a car took the turn too short and knocked him off his feet. he flew 20 feet in the air and landed on his head. he was pronounced brain dead. he would never get the chance to work on being less critical. his family would decide to pull the plug and bury him in the family plot out in new jersey.
